Directions to the Hotel:

FROM THE EAST

Leave M4 at junction 29 and join A48(M). After 4 miles take the exit signposted Cardiff Docks and Cardiff Bay. Take 3rd exit off the roundabout onto another smaller roundabout. Take 3rd exit. Hotel is located on your right.

 

FROM THE WEST

Leave the M4 at junction 30 and take 3rd exit off the roundabout. At next roundabout taken 2nd exit, and at the third roundabout take 2nd exit onto A48(M). Take 2nd exit signposted Cardiff Docks and Cardiff Bay. Take 3rd exit off the roundabout onto another smaller roundabout. Take 3rd exit. Hotel is located on your right.

Regulations

Section Restrictions.

 

For the junior sections only: All players in the Welsh U13, and U11 sections and those eligible for the Welsh U16 prize category in the Open must be registered members of the WCU and registered with FIDE as Welsh at the time of entry.

 

Also, entrants must be Welsh qualified in at least one of the following ways:

a) Birth in Wales

b) Child of a person who was born in Wales

c) Ten years consecutive residence in Wales at any time prior to the event

d) Residence in Wales for at least two years immediately prior to the event.

e) Throughout the period of six months immediately before the event attendance as a student at a school of establishment of further or higher education in Wales

f) Represented the Welsh Chess Union in a Junior International event

 

For U16s the entrant must be born in 2008 or later

For U13s the entrant must be born in 2011 or later.

For U11s the entrant must be born in 2013 or later

 

Note: Players taking part in the Open must be registered members of the WCU or other National body.
