The FIDE Presidential Board has now confirmed that John Thornton has now been officially awarded the FIDE Arbiter (FA) title. Congratulations John on acheiving this title. Sarah Rowles celebrated her 81st Birthday last month. She has just qualified for her first Fide rating, a very respectable 1708. Congratulations Sarah, you are an inspiration to us all! The latest Entry List for the upcoming Dyfed Open can be downloaded here. The Agenda and Officer’s Reports for the 2017 WCU AGM at Pencoed on Sunday 19th February can now be downloaded from here. Please note that the deadline for reduced entry fee for the 2017 Welsh Championship is 28th February. The Entry Form can now be downloaded from the Calendar page. The January ECU Newsletter can be downloaded here. The first release of the 2016-17 Membership List is now available on the Membership page. All Club Secretaries need to check this list and advise the Membership Secretary of errors. The 49th Cotswold Congress Entry Form has now been added to the Calendar should any members be interested in entering. |
