The Chapter, Market Road, Canton, Cardiff, CF51QE, have agreed to show “The Queen of Katwe” over Half-Term. This is a lovely film about a 10 year old girl in rural Uganda who is introduced to chess and finds her life is changed forever. It is an incredibly moving and inspirational true story.
Sarah and Tim Kett will be at The Chapter on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 February with a few chess sets so that everyone can have a quick game in the cafe / foyer area before and / or after the film. We can’t make it on the following weekend, but we are sure other chess players will be there in our stead.
