Over the week-end 3-4 June, a Welsh under 12 team of twelve players enjoyed victories against counterparts from South East and South West England.
The format repeated that of previous years – two matches per player – but games were played at a new venue: The Dell Primary School, Chepstow.
On Saturday, Susana Fraser’s victory in the last game being played in the second of two matches secured victory by a solitary point against the South East. The following day Venetia Sivarajasingam, in a similar situation and with very little time left, won to give a one point victory against the South West.
Welsh Under 14s also played their South East and South West counterparts. On Saturday they lost 4-20 to the South East. Sunday’s encounter was much closer, with the team loosing by 1 point.
