At the Welsh Junior rapidplay, held at At Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf on Saturday 16 December, Madeleine Smith won the Under 14s, Hiya Ray the Under 12s, Tom Davies the Under 10s, and the U8 title was shared between Isabelle Ceasar and Andy Wang.
Madeleine Smith won Under 14s with 5.5/6, and Duncan MacDonald came second with 5/6.
Hiya Ray won the under 12s with 6/6, and Fraser Britton and Johnathan Davies shared second with 4.5/6.
Tom Davies won the under 10s with 6/6, and Benjamin Jaberansari and Yuxuan Wu shared second with 5/6.
Isabelle Ceasar and Andy Wang were joint winners of the Under 8s with 5/6.
Sharing third placed were Elliot Bayliss, Govind Anandkumar and Gethin Williams.
